  • Do you consult with other health professionals working with my child?
    Absolutely! We often collaborate with other professionals that are supporting your child. We work interprofessionally with parents, school teachers, daycare staff, behaviour consultants, occupational therapists, audiologists, and others in order to provide the highest quality of care.
  • Do you have a clinic?

  • Do I need a referral from a doctor?
    No, you do not need a referral from a doctor. You can self-refer. Please complete the online form under the Contact tab.
  • What areas in Vancouver do you service for home or school visits?
    Depending on our availability, we can do home or school visits in Olympic Village, Mount Pleasant, Kitsilano, Downtown, Yaletown, Coal Harbour, False Creek, Gastown, etc. Please contact us directly for more information.
  • Can you provide assessment and therapy at my child's school or at home?
    Yes! We can provide therapy in the comfort of your home, at schools, daycares, preschools, or other convenient locations.
  • How long is each therapy session?
    We offer 30 and 50 minute sessions. This generally depends on the clients' age, attention level, and current needs.
  • Are you a Registered Autism Service Provider (RASP)?

  • My child who is under six is getting assessed for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and we need a speech and language evaluation and report. Can you help?
    Yes! There are three components to a private ASD assessment for children under 6. Evaluations and reports from a paediatrician, speech-language pathologist and a psychologist are required. Copies of these reports are provided to the psychologist, who conducts the final stage of the evaluation and diagnoses autism. Contact us for a fast-track evaluation and report.
  • Can I use my extended health benefit for speech therapy?
    Yes. There are many extended health plans that include speech therapy as a benefit. Harmony Speech Therapy cannot direct bill your insurance company, but you can submit your invoice for reimbursement. Every plan is different, so please check with your insurance provider for your coverage details.
